Central Instrumentation Facility

Sophisticated instrumentation facility has a vital role in the functioning of R&D institutes.
There is a Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) at JNTBGRI which is developed with an
objective of promoting R&D activities related to plant sciences through high end
instrumentation techniques.

Herbal technology is emerging as a promising field for future India. Accordingly, several
plant-based industries relating to food, cosmetic and nutraceutical fields are being established
in the state also. Quality evaluation of the crude as well as the fine plant material and product
requires instrumental analysis and expertise. So, JNTBGRI developed a state of the art
laboratory, meeting global demands on instrumental analysis of plant materials. The center
also acts as an advanced R&D centre on sophisticated instrumentations in the field of plant
sciences.

The Central Instrumentation Facility also organizes regular workshops for the scientific and
academic community in India, utilizing the expertise and instrumentation in JNTBGRI.
