JNTBGRI offers opportunity for PhD and Postdoc research programmes to young talents. Research students need not pay any bench fees, instead they are free to utilize the available facilities and complete their studies.
Students having CSIR-JRF, INSPIRE (DST), KSCSTE Research Fellowship or any other national fellowships may approach JNTBGRI. They may contact the Director, JNTBGRI and find out a suitable Research Guide.
Currently, Scientists of JNTBGRI have PhD guideships from many of the leading Universities of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
Besides, as a commitment to develop human resource in diverse areas of plant science, JNTBGRI extends support to students undergoing MSc, BTech and MTech programmes for carrying out their dissertation work on a payment basis (fee details).
JNTBGRI also offers short-term training programmes to research students and teaching faculty from affiliated colleges and University departments.
Prof. A. Abraham Memorial Merit award
It is a merit award constituted in the name of Prof. A. Abraham, founder Director of JNTBGRI, to research students of JNTBGRI. The award includes Certificate and Cash Prize to 3 best performing students based on their research outcome. For that, they have to present their finding before an audience and a panel of experts.
