Qualification: Ph.D. Micobial Technology (Amity University, 2011), Post doc- Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram (2013-2016).
Specialization: Anticancer agents, Antimicrobial agents, Anti-biofilm agents , mTOR inhibitors, Breast and Cervical Cancer research
Expertise in the area of anticancer drugs from microbial source, mTOR inhibitors, Breast and Cervical cancer research, and antimicrobial and anti-biofilm agents. Research led to identification of two novel mTOR inhibitors, Urdamycin E &V, the compounds which were found to be superior in activity compared to clinically used mTOR inhibitor, Rapamycin. Identified novel anti-biofilm agents from microbial sources which are efficient against human pathogens. Also contributed to identifying factors responsible for breast cancer stemness and uncovered novel diagnostic marker and therapeutic target for breast cancer assessment and treatment, respectively
